President and Co-founder
Building a Multi-Million Dollar Development Agency from Scratch
Blink Software was originally started as a part time venture around 2011. For the next decade, I led the team at Blink to build the company into a formidable full stack development and design agency.
After moving to a bigger space in 2016, I led the rebrand of Blink Software into Depth Interactive, a full-stack design and development agency delivering multimillion-dollar results for enterprise clients. Our ability to create all parts of our clients needs from design, backend, desktop, and native mobile applications propelled us to a multi-million a year company.
As President and co-founder, I oversaw company strategy, business development, and operational scale where I guided the agency from initial project wins to a diversified client portfolio. I was responsible for executive-level planning, client negotiation, and building a leadership team to support long-term growth. Our recurring revenue model and repeat enterprise engagements were direct results of this approach.

The Team
We were successful because the team worked hard and we worked well together. My job at the beginning of Blink was making a lot of the hiring decisions and helping to set the direction of the culture. Along with the other co-founders we worked to create an environment built on respect and empathy.
At our peak, I managed directors and team leads across engineering, design, and QA functions. I built career development pathways, implemented performance frameworks, and created a scalable hiring process that aligned with our values. I also worked closely with our leadership team to ensure resourcing and growth stayed sustainable during periods of rapid demand.
Our diverse client needs fostered a team culture of continuous learning and technical depth which was a cornerstone of our success. This drive to learn and grow was a key part of our success. Read more about our culture in our Employee Culture Handbook

The Projects
While running Depth Interactive my job was to lead most of the marketing efforts to bring in new projects and make sure that we had resources allocated to take on new projects. We managed timelines and projects with remote daily stand ups and scrum based project management in Jira and Pivotal Tracker. We also created an internal tool to track each project, budget and resource allocation. This as well as post mortems helped us learn from mistakes on projects and continue to refine new projects to keep everything running smoothly.
Because of this we were able to bring on some big projects for many companies both big and small. Projects like being the main development and design group for Descente International's store redesign and refresh year after year. Working with Axis 41 to create the Franklin Covey internal CMS. Creating the code for the initial pages the new customers to CQ5 (now named Adobe Experience Manager). Creating the frontend for the Stein Erickson Lodge, Zermatt, and Homestead Resort. Our mobile team designed and developed native iOS apps for GoPro, KSL Classifieds, BYUtv, BYURadio, Deseret News, and Packsize. Even thinking outside of the box and creating touchscreen experiences for IHC, Ciena, and Deseret Book. Across all of these projects my job was to make sure we kept quality high and the business kept rolling in.
